La Grippe est due à un virus qui attaque les voies respiratoires.
En 1918, il n’existait aucun médicament ni aucun vaccin pour lutter contre ce virus. La Pandémie de Grippe a débuté en Janvier 1918 et s’est achevée en Décembre 1920.
Le virus de la grippe a infecté environ cinq cent millions de personnes dans le monde entier. Il existe différentes estimations du nombre de décès (entre vingt et cent millions).
1918 The Flu Pandemic
Influenza (“flu”) is a virus that attacks the respiratory system.
In 1918, there were no drugs or vaccines to protect people from the flu. The influenza pandemic lasted from January of 1918 to December of 1920.
The flu infected about five hundred million people all over the world. There are different estimates of how many people died (between twenty and one hundred million).
