La Première Guerre mondiale

Elle est souvent appelée « la Grande Guerre ».

La Première Guerre mondiale a duré quatre ans, de 1914 à 1918. Plus de vingt-cinq nations ont combattu dans la Première Guerre mondiale. Les batailles ont eu lieu principalement en Europe.

On estime qu’entre neuf et seize millions de personnes sont mortes dans la guerre.  La Première Guerre mondiale, était la première guerre à utiliser des avions comme armes.

La Première Guerre mondiale à pris fin à la onzième heure du onzième jour du onzième mois de 1918.

 

 

World War I

It is often called “The Great War.” World War I lasted four years, from 1914 to 1918. 

More than twenty-five nations fought in World War I. The battles occurred mainly in Europe.

It is estimated that between nine and sixteen million people died in the war.  World War I was the first war to use airplanes as weapons.

World War I ended on the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month in 1918.
