England, 1773: Die Regierung von König Georg III. brauchte Geld.
Den britischen Kolonien wurden neue Steuern auferlegt. Eines der besteuerten Güter war Tee. Die Amerikaner waren sehr wütend. Sie riefen: “Keine Besteuerung ohne Vertretung”.
In Boston enterte eine Gruppe amerikanischer Männer drei Schiffe im Hafen. Sie kippten mehr als dreihundert Kisten Tee ins Wasser.
Diese Aktion wurde als Boston Tea Party bekannt. Dies führte schließlich zum Amerikanischen Unabhängigkeitskrieg.

New taxes were imposed on British colonies. One of the items that was taxed was tea. Americans were very angry. They cried, “No taxation without representation”.
In Boston, a group of American men boarded three ships in the harbor. They dumped more than three hundred crates of tea into the water.
This action became known as the Boston Tea Party. This eventually led to the American Revolutionary War.
